Autumn Update

As usual time flies!

We went on our cruise in July and had a marvellous time. The intention was to stop off in Guernsey, but the weather had other ideas – as it was too windy, the captain decided to not to stop and to turn around back to Southampton. Therefore we spent 3 days and 4 nights sailing from Southampton to Southampton! Weather apart, we had fun. There was the Gala night, where we all dressed up in Black tie, and we decided to have a ‘sparkles’ night where sequins and glitter was a must for all, boys included.

We are now busy rehearsing for our Family and Friends concert on 30 November 2024. The set list will be a mix of contemporary songs and Christmas carols. Hopefully, this will put everyone into the Christmas spirit. If you would like to see us in action, please see the poster for details. The charity we have chosen to donate the profits to is the Fountains Centre, who provide support and complementary treatments to Cancer patients. As a choir, we have sadly been much visited by cancer over the past couple of years and we appreciate the need for such a support charity.

We have lots of other Christmas activities planned – we are going back to Sebastian’s Action Trust Children’s Party; we had such good fun last year helping the children enjoy themselves. We are also singing at Santa Fir in Guildford (Visit our three Christmas Tree Farm locations in Surrey and Kent). In return they are donating a Christmas Tree voucher as a raffle prize to be drawn at our Family and friends concert on 30 November – yet another good reason to come along.
