Christmas Update 2022

We have just about recovered from our Family and Friends concert (see some pictures below). We were so pleased with the way it went and after adding up all the money raised, we were thrilled to have raised £1300 to split between the Camberley All Night Café and the Mytchett Community Centre.

On Thursday, 15 December we presented Carole from the All Night Café with a cheque for £1000. The Café has been with out a home since Covid but is about to move into a winter home on Hawley Lane, Farnborough https://www.facebook.com/Camberleyallnightcafe so our donation will be put to good use helping the homeless have somewhere warm to go during the cold winter nights. Vicki also donated a huge hamper of food which she won in a raffle – Carole was also very grateful to receive this donation.

We also presented the Mytchett Community Centre with a cheque for £300 to help them run the centre for the benefit of the local community (and they kindly sent us a letter of Thanks[pdf]). The centre has been our home for rehearsals for a long time and we are pleased to be able to give a little back.
Due to the F&F concert being in November, Christmas carols took a backseat this year, however we helped the Mytchett Community Centre sing carols around their Christmas tree https://fb.watch/hvXGAfqalf/ and we sang with the congregation of St. Paul’s, Tongham at their carol service which provided just enough Christmas sparkle to celebrate the season https://m.facebook.com/events/696728238608287.
